About our company ...

The first McCaghey family flock was nine birds raised to sell for Christmas back in 1951...

The McCaghey family has been involved in the poultry business since 1951and has a well-respected name in the industry for quality and reliability. Over the years three generations have carried the business from strength to strength resulting in today's thriving company

Today we employ a team of 36 including management, four sales reps, office personnel, dispatch and line staff who work carefully together to ensure freshness and quality in all our products and to develop innovative solutions and products for a health concious public.

In 2005 we succeeded in obtaining our BRC certificate and were accredited by Freedom Foods for proper and safe handling of poultry

Granting of our international export license in 2004

The opening of our 12,000 sq. ft "state of the art" processsing plant in 2003

A few years on, we develolped our own 'value added' products for supermarkets

Our next step was to slaughter mature hens and then into processing breeders

Back in the early 50's we agreed a contract for the slaughter of Christmas turkeys for local producers
